For more than five years, I've designed intuitive and delightful products. I have an entrepreneurial spirit that can lead or follow as long as we have fun. A New Jersey native and fully adopted Atlantan, I tell it like it is with a smile. I get excited with new challenges and find the best approach is to jump in with both feet. I am continually learning and growing, and I apply everything I know along the way.
I would describe my design process as strategically agile. I start with some foundational product knowledge and then work both quickly and iteratively. This is why my motto is "Start today, refine tomorrow."
We create personas to understand and empathize with a targeted user group. If understanding users are the key to personas, what do you do when you don’t have direct access to those users?
Designing for all sounds great, but how do you execute to meet user and business needs when teams have no ADA compliance standards or implementation experience?
“Jim Collins described ideal team members this way in Good to Great: “The right people don’t need to be tightly managed or fired up; they will be self-motivated by the inner drive to produce the best results and to be part of creating something great.” Lauren is, without question, one of the most passionate and self-motivated UX designers I have had the privilege of working with. Her energy, thoughtfulness, and pursuit of excellence are infectious, and she is a great asset to any team she works with!”
"I can't describe how much I learned from Lauren in just the short amount of time that I interned for her at Cognia! She helped me to build on my foundational skills. She is an enthusiastic mentor and never hesitated to answer my (many) questions about the industry. I look forward to working with her again one day!"
“Lauren performs small miracles on a daily basis. With boundless energy, ideas, and expertise, she delivers smart, solution-based results with a smile."
